Frequent fliers share tips for one-suitcase travel

It was long before airlines had the money-making idea of charging passengers for checked baggage, before security concerns led to the 3-1-1 rule requiring airline passengers to carry liquids in 3-ounce containers, placed inside a see-through quart-size bag, limit one bag per person.

Those innovations in airline travel make it all the more desirable for fliers to fit everything they need into a bag that will squeeze into a plane’s overhead compartment. Carry on size requirements. International size is going to depend on the airline. Most of southwest flights need 22x14x9.  

Albuquerque resident  has a lot of experience in this world. She spends three weeks a month criss-crossing the nation as the executive director for a nonprofit that works with child protection departments countrywide.
