But recently, we asked ourselves a question that changed everything: after four decades of knowing exactly what makes luggage fail on the road — and what makes it last — why aren't we making our own?

We engineered these bags with a durable polypropylene shell, 360-degree spinner wheels, built-in TSA locks, a USB port on the carry-on, and a built-in suiter system on the checked pieces. Giving Back to the Community That Built Us

We strongly believe in giving back to the community that has supported us since the beginning. We host our Annual Trade-In Sale every year — we just wrapped up our 44th — where customers trade in their gently used luggage for a discount on new gear. We then donate those bags, which still have plenty of miles left in them, to local families in need and organizations like Locker 505 and Barrett House.

What's Next

This past year we took the Legacy Collection to the Travel Goods Association (TGA) show to expand our wholesale partnerships — proving that luggage assembled in Albuquerque can compete toe-to-toe with massive national brands. The goal from here is simple: grow the reach of our beloved local shop and establish Lieber's as a recognized national travel brand.
